- Governments typically establish safety and environmental criteria for motor vehicles to ensure their safe and reliable operation on roads. Proactively developing the regulatory framework and standards for zero-emission technologies to facilitate the effective deployment of zero-emission trucks into the market is paramount.
- We engage in collaborative efforts with the Government (entities), policymakers, and standard-setting organizations such as ARAI, BIS, and MoRTH to update the Central Motor Vehicle regulations and pertinent standards related to battery electric trucks, fuel cell electric trucks, overhead automated charging devices (OH-ACD), and hydrogen storage. Our focus areas, aimed at achieving this objective, encompass the standardization of battery communication protocols, the proposal of appropriate drive cycles for range and energy assessments, and the assessment of gross vehicle weight (GVW).
