Smart Freight Centre is an international non-profit organization working on Freight Decarbonization to minimize the climate impact of the global freight and logistics sector. Our goal is to mobilize the global logistics ecosystem, in particular our members and partners, in tracking and reducing its greenhouse gas emissions. We accelerate the reduction of logistics emissions to achieve a zero-emission global logistics sector by 2050 or earlier, consistent with 1.5° pathways. Launched in May 2023, the Smart Freight Centre India program collaborates with the Indian freight sector to reverse the projected 400% increase in CO2 emissions by 2047. SFC partners with NITI Aayog’s e-FAST and key stakeholders to drive freight electrification and decarbonization in India
